In a recent episode of Roofing Road Trips, host Heidi J. Ellsworth sat down with Rob Drew and Jeremy Grimes from FlashCo to talk about the brand’s latest line of products designed for fall protection. They discussed the differences between permanent fall protection and traditional options, and why choosing FlashCo’s permanent solutions is the best option for assured safety and limiting liabilities.
Not only is having a fall protection system important for safety, but it is also a major concern and requirement from OSHA. With strict regulations on what qualifies as a safe system, it’s important that a fall protection product meets OSHA and other national or regional requirements. FlashCo has created a line of quality products that are easy to install and bring peace of mind to any contractor.
Jeremy explained the importance and emphasis on appealing to contractors by supplying certified installers along with the sale of their fall protection line, removing the worry of liability from the contractor’s hands. “Basically, we can put together a team that can fill the project and still meet the watertight obligations, the warranties, everything required to complete the project successfully.”
What sets FlashCo's systems apart from others is the certified installer? Rob explained, “It's a dual solution in terms of not only are we able to supply them with the product, but that certified installer is really important. When we've been out at shows and introducing this, a lot of roofers will say that they wish they had this on prior projects where maybe the owner had asked them for it, and they kind of turned it away because of that liability issue,” Rob shared. But with us being able to bring the product and the certified installers and put together that whole package, they don't have to turn it down now.”
